Kir Yianni

Yianni Boutaris, founder of Kir-Yianni, has his root in the wine business. In 1977, after more than 30 years at the helm of another very successful Greek wine ry, Yiannis decided to spin off two of his best vineyards to create a super-premium Greek wine estate that will serve as a reference point for quality Greek wines. Kir-Yianni is one of them. The grapes are sourced from their estates in premium appellations of Amyndeon and Naoussa. A dominant grape is Xinomavro, indigenous to Greece. With complexity and finesse, Xinomavro wines are often cited among the finest from Greece.
