About

Castello di Monsanto stands out as one of the few producers recognized by both consumers and critics. Robert Parker hailed it as the "benchmark for the heights Chianti can achieve." Located in Barberino Val d’Elsa, it's home to exceptional vineyards and the largest Chianti Classico reserves in Tuscany. Aldo Bianchi bought the property in 1960, and his son Fabrizio, who joined in 1962, produced the first Chianti Classico Cru from the "Il Poggio" vineyard. Monsanto's wines are celebrated for their complexity and a profound sense of place, forging a distinctive and authentic identity.
