Domaine des Tourelles Syrah du Liban 2018

Vineyards located at 1,050m above sea level. Vines are 20-25 years old, planted in gravel with clay subsoil. Dry farmed. Hand harvested. Wild ferment in concrete tanks. Aged in 100% new American oak barrels for 24 months.

Syrah is a typical grape of the Mediterranean region. In Lebanon's unique terroir the wine manages to combine elegant floral notes with an explosive spicy character on the nose and palate. It is wonderfully balanced and has a long, persistent finish. A big wine that would benefit from some additional time in cellar or decanting prior to serving.
