Jermann

The foundation of the winery began in 1881 when great-great-great-grandfather Anton Jermann comes to Farra d'Isonzo from Austria. Angelo Jermann, whom the 'Red Angel on the Moonlight' wine is named after, continues the family grape-growing tradition and transforms Jermann into a successful farm. In 1971, Silvio Jermann, an enology graduate, revolutionizes the winery after a research sabbatical overseas, creating the Jermann milestone wine, Vintage Tunina, which was officially released in 1975, fast achieving cult status and effectively launching Jermann's new course.
